Temecula, CA, December 18, 2015 – The Community Mission of Hope in partnership with the Temecula Pantry would like to confirm that over 60 bags of donated, sorted toys for children in need were stolen. Our team of volunteers is heart broken over the loss. Each bag contained anywhere between 3 to 15 toys depending on the number of children in the family. The loss represents 139 children and close to half the amount of families that are to be served next week during our community toy distribution, December 21 – 23. Estimated value of the loss has been placed at over $5,000.

The burglary occurred some time between the afternoon of Wednesday, December 16 and the morning of Thursday December 17. We are working with the Temecula Police Department who is actively investigating this crime and pursuing all available leads.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Temecula Police Department at (951) 696-3000. http://www.riversidesheriff.org/press/sws15-1217.asp

We are grateful for the imitate out pouring of support and want to provide a list of what is needed as well as the locations and times where donations can be dropped off.

We are currently in need of toys for both boys and girls between the ages of 0 and 12. We are also accepting monetary donations at http://www.temeculapantry.com/donate-to-the-temecula-pantry.
