Donate Food

Each year, thousands of people depend on donations from the community to sustain them through difficult times. Whether it’s a can of vegetables from your pantry, a few bins of food from a food drive or a truckload of cereal from a processing facility, your donation is distributed to the tables of hungry families in Temecula and the Inland Valley community.

We receive donations from individuals, businesses, bible study groups, sports teams, scouts troups and many other community groups. If you have a bag of groceries to donate, or even a car load of food from a food drive, your donation will make a direct impact on those in need.

CMOH-Symbol-DriveFood Drives

One of the most successful ways to gather food for donation is to hold a food drive. Holding a food drive is fun and easy. Here are a few tips to make the process go smoothly:

  • Let us know about your drive!  If your business or group would like to have a food drive please contact us at
  • Identify a reasonable goal based on how long the drive will run and how many people you expect to participate.
  • Decide how you will collect the donated food. Depending on the size of your drive, boxes work well. You are also welcome to pick up a barrel at our warehouse. If you plan to collect more than 500 pounds of food, CMoH can deliver a large collection bin for your drive.
  • Decide what materials you will need. We have flyers and fact sheets available.
  • Keep enthusiasm high! Send e-mails, make posters, hold contests or think of your own ways to keep interest high. See our list of fun food and fund drive ideas.
  • Once your drive is complete, arrange to deliver food to CMoH. If your donation is over 500 pounds, please contact us to schedule a pick up.
